B'nai Mitzvah
This event is designed to be the culmination of a particular section of study, an opportunity to symbolize by a public act of Jewish literacy a child’s coming of age into a spiritual community. At the same time it is just another step in the longer road of Jewish education, a life-long relationship with Jewish learning. B'nai mitzvah is an opportunity for children and their families to look closely at the movement from childhood to adulthood in the family and in the community. It is not primarily about the day only but the process as well.
